It's summer again and that means only one thing...aside from the fact that it's going to be quite warm (to use a meteorologists term) for the next few months. Our Independence Day service is coming up quickly. This year, it will take place on July 6th at the 10:30 am service.
We'll be telling some wonderful stories of patriotism and inspiration from modern times, as well as from the time our nation was just being formed.
We will have a small musical ensemble for our celebration, including trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, and drums. And of course, you'll have me on the piano, as usual. We'll sing some fantastic songs that we're all familiar with, but we'll also be presenting songs that you might not have heard yet.
It's always at this time of year, as we near Independence Day, that I am reminded of the truly incredible country in which I am privileged to live. I enjoy watching the fireworks locally, as well as from around the country, roasting hot dogs, and reflecting on how lucky I am.
That's about all for now, so until next time...God bless, and
Let's Make Music!
